For ensuring long term and sustainable solution to accommodation needs of IDPs emerged as a result of August 2008 Russia-Georgia Conflict, living houses were constructed and/or purchased and residential and arable land parcels were allocated by GoG to be transferred into private ownership of these displaced.

Association for Protection of Landowners Rights within USAID assistance program has been providing technical assistance for titling the above properties to 5,500 IDP households which has got living houses/land into their possession.

The table attached hereto shows the status of land allocation by August 30, 2010.
