Renumbering of Cadastral Data
Status: Completed Full Activity Title: Implementation of Renumbering Works for Integrated Cadastral Data and Preparation Information for Finalized Databases for 32 Rayons of Georgia Location: 32 Rayons of Georgia Activity Dates: November, 2005 – October, 2006 Source of Funding: KfW Land Cadastre and Register Project
Project Abstract Within the last several years various international donor funded projects focused their activities to carry out cadastral works throughout Georgia aimed at creation of land cadastre and improvement of property registration system. Since 1997 USAID Land Market Development Project carried out cadastral works on agricultural land, while the KfW Cadastre and Land Register Project made surveys on leased land and residential parcels. After the completion of cadastral works these two projects integrated cadastral data into one database. As each project used its own numbering system, the necessity to integrate these data into one numbering system was put in the agenda. KfW Land Cadastre and Register Project contracted APLR to carry out renumbering works in 32 rayons of Georgia and prepare cadastral information for the entry into finalized database, using special software. To achieve the project objectives APLR carries out renumbering works in Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti, Guria, Kvemo Kartli and Samegrelo regions, where the unique code is generated and assigned to each parcel and building. All layers of cadastral information are corrected according to the advanced standards and finalized for the entry into database. As a result of the project land information database is created that contributes to the improved data management. |
